Mina Mina // Standard Collar

This gorgeous martingale carries stories of the Jukurrpa (Dreaming) at Mina Mina. This particular artwork, designed by Kelly Napanangka Michaels, depicts karlangu (digging sticks) rising up out of the ground as Napangardi and Napanangka women danced at the sacred site of Mina Mina. The karlangu were used to dig for ngalyipi (snake vine) as the women travelled from from the west to the east of Yuendumu and then far beyond Warlpiri country.
